<p>Online evaluations are assuming an increasingly important place in our classrooms. Whether for summative or formative purposes, these applications occupy an increasingly interesting niche in an environment of flipped classrooms and just-in-time learning where teachers need to have a an up-to-date picture of what concepts their students have mastered in order to function in today&#8217;s student-centered learning environment.</p>
<p>In this webinar, Profweb proposes to interview Rajesh Malik, Greg Mulcair, and Patti Kingsmill, all teachers who use online evaluations in their classrooms. As well, local options for teachers, including the CCDMD&#8217;s NetQuiz and the testing functions of Moodle, will be presented.</p>

<p>Second language teachers as well as teachers of literature are familiar with the burden of checking the grammar of their students&#8217; writing. Software or online applications to check grammar seem an attractive resource for this task. In French, the software of choice seems to be Antidote, but the field is wide open for English grammar.</p>
<p>These resources won&#8217;t write your documents for you, but they can help your students as well as yourself produce a written document in your first or second language that you can have confidence in. Better yet, if you use them correctly, they will actually help you to improve your linguistic abilities.</p>

<p>Although students with disabilities have always been a part of Quebec&#8217;s Cegeps, their numbers have increased in recent years. Some colleges have responded by offering more information and communication technologies (ICTs), some mainstream and some adapted, as well as other services to accommodate these students and their teachers. Following a worldwide trend, in May 2011, the Government of Quebec adopted new accessibility standards for websites, downloadable documents and multimedia web contents; this, of course, applies to the educational sector. Another popular trend is a shift away from accommodation toward Universal Design of Instruction. How do these two trends affect the way we teach and create instructional material?</p>
<p>In this webinar, Catherine Fichten, Laura King, Alexandre Chauvin and Maria Barile from the Adaptech Research Network will explain how accessible technologies and universal design principles can support learning for all students in the collegial community.</p>
